SportSheets Newcomers Strap On – Review

I have never tried a strap-on in my life, but recently my partner and I decided we wanted to give pegging a try. I spent hours online looking for the perfect beginner’s strap on, and after hours of research, I impatiently ran to Adam and Eve’s and picked up the Newcomers Strap On from Sport Sheets.

Pricing & Packaging

Sports Sheets’ Newcomers Strap on ranges in price from $37.99 – $59.99. I paid about $63 after tax. On the official website, it cost $37.99, plus shipping, which is about $13 depending on location.

Material & Measurements

The harness of the Newcomers Strap on is polyester with plastic buckles that help with adjusting the size; while the dildo is silicone.

The box says that the dildo is 5.5-inches long and has a .87-inch diameter, while the harness can adjust up to 60-inch hip size. I measured the dildo myself and got about a 4.5”-5” length, not including the base, and 2.75” circumference.

Fitting

It fits way better than I expected. This product accommodates a wide range of body-types from big to small. I appreciate how adjustable it is because it allows me to fit the harness as tight or loose as I want, so it never feels insecure. When properly tightened, the harness aligns the dildo right at the front of your pubis; it doesn’t hang or weight down the front of the harness.

The Overview

For a first time strap on, I really like it! I used it to peg my partner, and they said the size wasn’t uncomfortable, and it stimulated his prostate well. Keep in mind he has never had anything more than a finger up his rectum, so he is a complete beginner when it comes to this.

As I stated earlier, the harness fits extremely well, and lucky for me, it rests on my clit. I have no experience using a strap on; therefore, I have no clue if they all do this, but it made me cum. Because of the placement of the dildo when I’m penetrating my partner, it rubs me in all the right spots allowing me to achieve a clitoral orgasm.

As for the negatives: My partner’s ass is on the thicker side, so when we laid on our side, it didn’t reach as far in as it did in doggy style.  Thankfully we can just buy a longer dildo for the harness.

Even though I am impressed with the fit of the harness, I’m not impressed with the lack of finished ends on the product. I did find myself accidentally sliding the harness straps out of the buckle because there is no barrier blocking it from coming off.

UPDATE: Sport Sheets were very kind and informed me the lack of finished ends is on purpose, so it can accommodate almost all body types!

Conclusion

Sport Sheets’ Newcomer Strap on is a fantastic beginner’s strap on. The dildo it comes with is simple, basic, and small, making it extraordinary for those new to anal. Its design also makes it a good default option for vaginal penetration as well. No matter what you use it for, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I highly recommend it.
