Treasure Glass Dildo – Review
Finding a rudimentary glass dildo nowadays is nearly impossible. Most retailers seem to cater to g-spot and textured styles, putting simple designs on the back burner. All of this came as a surprise to me when buying my first glass dildo. With so many people still entering the world of sex toys, how can there be so few options for the starter? What wasn’t intricate was sold out, or not from a company I trusted. That is when I came across the Chystalino Treasure Blue Glass Dildo. This. I thought. This I want to shove inside me.
Price & Product Details
The Treasure Glass Dildo can cost you anywhere between $16-$40. I got mine at Shevibe.com for $27.99, plus tax and discreet shipping.
It comes in a white and blue box with a slide-out compartment that presents a flyer to you as soon as you open it. On it are details of the included dildo, as well as others they make. This particular one is made out of Borosilicate Glass and can withstand lows of 32 and highs of 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
The entire item measures 7 inches with an insertable length of 5 inches or 5.5 if you really slam down on the base. The overall girth is 3 inches, though the head at its widest point is 4.
The Overview
I found the Treasure Glass dildo to be perfect at stimulating the outside of my vagina as well as the inside. The design of its pointed head is ideal for targeting specific areas, such as the clit and inner labia. While the smooth, bumpless texture allows it to glide with your body naturally, even before applying lube.
When it comes to penetration, the glass makes it a completely new experience. The 1-inch difference between the head and the shaft creates a unique feel with its lack of elasticity. Unlike softer toys or a penis, where a slight difference in measurements would go unnoticed due to them being squishy and malleable, a glass dildo reveals all. The solid surface produces a sensation of stretching, which may not be for everyone. I, for one, enjoyed the feeling of my vagina stretching around the head and relaxing around the shaft. The experience is comparable to those meditations that have you tense up all your muscles then relax.
Testing
Looks like I should have listened to that sold as novelty only on the bottom of the box. Using testing methods I read about in Glass Sex Toy Safety, and Seeing is Believing, I performed some at-home experiments. In the articles, they use a polarized lens filter. I am using my ND filter; therefore, my results could be off. Though with its low price, borosilicate tag, and foreign assembler, I doubt it.
I first took a photo of the dildo without the ND filter on. As you can see, it is clear with no apparent signs of damage.
With the ND filter on, we begin to see a completely different story. We now see these brown and dark purple spots in the glass; this means the glass is stressed. This is a clear indicator that it will not give you a lifetime of pleasure (as stated on the box). Two to three years of pleasure? Maybe. In an ideal situation, the glass should be crystal clear.
What do these results mean?
If these results are correct, it just means be careful. Glass dildos that would fair well in these tests can be expensive. I see them ranging within the $50-$120 or higher! And that’s assuming the lower-priced designs fit your specific wants and needs.
In the long run, if you want to guarantee it’s going to be strong, and last I’d recommend saving up to buy an expensive one. On the other hand, you may just be in the market for an affordable body-safe toy that will last a couple of years and hold up to light temperature play. In which case, the Treasure Glass Dildo is a good option. Just make sure to check it for chips or notable damage before and after each use.
Conclusion
Let’s just say I’m not stopping my use of the Treasure Glass Dildo anytime soon. Is it perfect? No. Would I prefer the company not to say things like a lifetime of pleasure? If my experiment results are correct, absolutely. Yet, I find myself thinking about it throughout the day as it works its way into my fantasies. In moments where I just want the sensation of penetration, the Treasure Glass dildo is perfect for me.
Sadly after only a week of owning the product. it’s discontinued. As with any sex toy, it will more than likely be floating around the market in some way or form for the next few years, so this review wasn’t a complete loss.
